This place has a simple menu with great drinks and a cozy atmosphere. It always seems busy but service is quick. We only got drinks...The Garden is delicious and my go to order.
Came here on their soft opening day, and they're already spectacular! Had a cortado with the acai bowl and both are great. The cortado is solid, although not particularly unique aside from being served with sparkling water. I'm interested to try it with the single origin coffee instead of the house blend. The acai bowl is the kind with the frozen acai, which I prefer, and it's well presented and tastes wonderful. The aesthetic is very put together, and despite the staff being scattered as they try to figure out their workflow they were very quick. I'm very excited to see this place grow, and I'll update again when they've settled into their groove.
The Garden was absolutely delicious. The flavor profile exceeded my expectations. The details with drinks, food and atmosphere complemented our experience. Definitely a must try.
Super cute coffee shop! You can tell right away they know their coffee — true masters of their craft. The owners clearly pour their hearts into this place and their passion shines through in every detail. The coffee was absolutely amazing, and the chai pumpkin loaf was just as impressive — perfectly spiced and freshly baked. A cozy spot that’s full of warmth, care, and great taste.
☕️ Just wow. Must go visit this place. Westerville has needed this. ⸻ 💡 Some of my insights while visiting • I loved that they had a little area in the back that was setup for littles; it was more secluded so they could be a little noisier without disturbing others and it had toys available but was still a vibe. The couch and framed monitor on loop was awesome and I felt like I was on vacation at a coffee shop on the beach. • They have awesome decor and the coffee options rivaled big city downtown quality shops. The drinks were unique and had an extra special twist that makes them stand out amongst other shops and helps build on their brand imo. • Example – we had a special single-origin coferment espresso used for our cortado, served on a cool wooden/bamboo tray in Vero glasses (which I also use at home, so that’s a win! lol), with an extra soda water on the side to cleanse your palette. First class. • Then the cold brew option we picked wasn’t just your standard—it was a carbonic-maceration processed coffee with notes of strawberry and cap crunch berry. The perfect summer cold brew unlike any I’ve ever had. • Also, the food we tried just had that extra unique to Begin Cafe pizazzz. We had the avocado toast and PB toast—something you might expect to see at a cafe, but with a little extra specialness, check out the menu on their website to see what I mean. • The owners were sweet and talked with us for a minute, even as they were churning through the line out the door. By the vibes you can tell they are well traveled, love kids and family and love what they do. • Way more seating than I was expecting. Inside and out. ⸻ ⭐️ Overall: 11/10 – will come back on the regular!
Such a gorgeous café! Even the bathrooms are pretty. It also has a nice back room where I saw families spending time together away from the crowds. Friendly staff and tasty hot chocolate. I enjoyed the pistachio almond slice. Will definitely be back!!
We got the pleasure of visiting today during their soft launch! Even though it was busy at 8:30AM, the wait was pleasant & they were fast. The owner walked around giving those waiting a sample of their GF chocolate chip cookie! Our coffees were hot, delicious, and beautiful looking. I can’t rave enough about how delicious the avocado toast & matcha almond croissant were. They also have a little back room with toys that our toddler loved! Very family friendly, reasonable prices, and kind owners and staff. Another one of the many reasons to love Uptown Westerville! Can’t wait to visit again.
Best matcha in Columbus! The quality is amazing and their house made syrups are delicious! Iced or hot, they seriously never disappoint and have great bakery items made in-house wit gluten free options, too! Baby and family friendly and right in uptown Westerville!
This was my first time at Begin. It is a very bright space with a good amount of seating and a nice atmosphere. I ordered the garden latte which was delicious! Smooth espresso and lightly sweetened/flavored. I also had the avocado toast which I would definitely order again. Can’t wait to come back!
This is a cute little place worthy of everyone's support! It seems like the staff is fast-paced and keeps up well with the velocity of orders that are placed. I was here from noon on Saturday until about 1:30, and the rushes of business happened in bursts. Tables fill up quickly, but it seems most of the clientele either need to pop in and say hello to the employees, or they were swinging in for a refreshing beverage and meal before continuing the hustle and bustle of their day. I also loved the subtle (very subtle) Halloween decor. The breakfast cookie is an instant favorite, and I had the Canadian latte and egg sandwich- don't let the greens scare you! They add a nice bit of crunch to the sandwich, without taking away from the pesto spread they use on the brioche bun. There are a couple of larger tables, so if you're shopping with a group, you may be lucky to squeeze everyone in. Due to the café's size, I'd say 1 to 2 people is the ideal gathering.
